We are pleased to announce that the National Digital Twin Programme (NDTP) has appointed Belay Ltd as our ontology development supplier for the 2024/25 financial year. This marks an important step forward in the programme’s commitment to enabling semantic interoperability through robust, open, and reusable data standards.
Belay Ltd will lead the continued development and extension of the Information Exchange Standard (IES) — the ontology that supports meaningful data alignment across organisations, systems, and sectors. The IES plays a vital role in our work to build a secure, federated and interoperable data-sharing infrastructure, and helps ensure shared understanding of information wherever it moves.
The focus for this financial year will be on enhancing the IES model, improving its usability, and supporting its application across a range of new contexts. This includes working closely with other delivery teams and demonstrator projects to ensure alignment with the Integration Architecture and broader technical framework.
